A Guided Methodology for Non-Technical AI Builders

BuildWright is a step-by-step methodology for learning how to build software products with AI. It uses a sequence of Markdown guides that work with a capable large language model and coding agent to guide you through the product-development process.

Start Here

Follow these five steps to get set up and begin building with BuildWright.

  1. Step 01

    Download the Toolkit

Download the complete BuildWright Toolkit and unzip the folder. Keep all 11 Markdown files together.

  2. Step 02

    Create a Project

Open ChatGPT, Claude, or another capable large language model that supports Projects or persistent project files. Create one new Project for the software product you are going to build.

  3. Step 03

    Add the BuildWright Guides

Upload all 11 BuildWright Markdown files to your Project’s files, knowledge, or project-context area. Keep these files available throughout the project.

  4. Step 04

    Choose a Capable Model

Use a strong general-purpose model with good reasoning and coding capabilities. You do not need the most expensive model available, but BuildWright works best with a capable model that can reason well, work with project files, maintain context, and support software-development tasks.

  5. Step 05

    Begin the First Stage

Create a new chat inside your Project. Begin with the first BuildWright guide and follow its instructions. Work through the methodology in sequence rather than skipping ahead.

You’re ready to build.

Download the toolkit, set up your Project, and begin with the first BuildWright guide.
